? About 1.5" valve for 3" barrel

Would a 1.5" dust collector diaphragm valve be to small for a 3" barrel? I am assuming will be fine wanted to see if anyone has any first hand experience with this set up. Thanks.

I see, I am gonna wait and see how bad the recoil is then decide on what to do. I was originally trying to weld a track system to the bottom of the chamber and have a single gas strut.

Not sure if that would work since it would not distibute force evenly.

I am trying to figure out how to mount it to my chamber. I am going to have a bar come straight down from chamber to act as the stock.

I was doing some research last night on how to do the recoil absorpotion system. I some some linear rail systems that were over $150. I'm sure there is a more economical way to do this. I am trying to make this gun look as nice as possible so any ideas would be appreciated. I think I am going to foc...

I would model it but I don't know what the pressure on 2" gun will be that will be max that I can handle.

This is probably a dumb ? bur I want to make sure before buying the valve.

If I have to fire the 2" valve at lower pressure do to recoil than say the 1.5" valve. The heavier projectile even though firing at a lower pressure will still go a further distance than say the 1.5" at a high psi correct.

All good man, I just don't want to buy this really powerful valve and I can't use it to full potential cause it's too powerful.

Haha, well my gun will weigh around 30 pounds I am guessing. Already have some fittings and about to order rest once I decide on size. Will be aluminum so won't be an extremely heavy fun. Well, won't I be able to compensate for the lack of efficiency b using a higher pressure? The 2" valve is double...

I am still undecided on which to get, the last post jhalek is what I am worried about. I want a gun I can fire from shoulder without getting hurt.

I talked to one of their engineers today and he said it opened between 50-70 ms. I hope it opens in 10 ms.

Anyone know a way to make a muzzle brake like device without make the gun any louder? Is there a way to have a suppressor help with recoil?

.07 seconds? It is a dust collector valve which is supposed to be one of the fastest valves. Double diaphragm port valve. Isn't that pretty fast?

I could be doing the GGDT calculation incorrectly then, not positive about that M.E. #. I am using 150 psi, projectile will weight 6 oz. Valve is 2" with 88 C.V. Barrel is 3"x48" and Chamber is 3" x 48". Open time is 70ms. I figured with a projectile that heavy is would kick pretty bad.
