Works but not reliably. I have more round bar coming in Thursday so I'm making a better cylinder, tighter tolerances to stop the piston tipping. That's the only down fall to a short piston that I can see.

Hmmm... how can it be o-ringed and tipping?
Maybe you need more space between the two rings, one on each extremity.

I would have to make another piston to get the distance. It could be that the bottom edge is catching just enough to prevent movement, it wouldn't take much tipping to make that happen plus using a PVC cylinder makes for a easy grab on that edge.
Once I get a harder cylinder and tighten up the clearance between the piston and cylinder there will be no grabbing on the piston edge.

Set back
because of a cheap tap! Need good tap or a metric drill bit for the size hole needed to keep from breaking cheap taps. There is just enough nub there to maybe weld a small nut to it, other wise drill a hole beside it or turn another cylinder...Either way, bummer!
