I have built and check this compressed air cannon with plumbing parts. It is suited for high pressures.
Any idea of the maximum pressure it could stand safely?

Cool gun! I would feel comfortable holding that thing with 500 psi in it, and that is a conservative estimate. With a little fridge compressor and a spring-loaded mechanism on that ball valve you will notice a HUGE power increase.
