Playing around with ammo and this combo is pretty solid for my pirate pistol.
- - yellow twist-on wire connectors are quite snug in 1/2" copper
- - extra strong steel trim nail, 2.5", "Maze" brand
Even without piercing the front area of the nail with a bit of light wad, the darts self-level really quick out of the 10" pistol barrel.
The Chrony measured them at 380 fps with 160 psi.

- drill a hole in the closed side, making sure to retain that inner wire coil, pound a nail through, add a bit o' poxy. The epoxy grabs that wire coil nicely and secures the nail head in place.
-

- 3/4" birch plywood at about 20 ft. Even with the extra strong steel nails, at this distance, they get a beat down.

I made a pvc gun 3 months ago didn't waste much money because it was the first one, its does not work now because my foot tyre pump can't take the pressure that builds inside the gun
I made those darts which are very easy to make in less time and with less effort with easy stuff that are within our hands reach

Use the cone method, it is much more economical and is also destructive as well.
