How to loosen a pvc ball valve lever?

I'm making a homemade pneumatic air rifle and this will be my trigger to release the compressed air, i bought a pvc ball valve 1" and it's hard to turn, how can it make it easier? Thanks! Btw wd-40 will ruin it so that's out of the question lol

Silicone oil is a good idea, but it will always be a bit tight. You should extend the handle if you want to make it easier to turn.

Assuming it's formulated not to attack seals, yes. Do not use anything which is not friendly to o-rings and the like.

Gently apply lubrication, then gradually loosen it up till it's perfect. Note that some lubricants can damage rubber/latex products
