blowgun to valve

No, the above modification would not work. The pilot for the diaphram comes threw a small rectangular hole perpendicular to that of how you would tap the fitting in there. Not to mention, if one were able to connect to such via the solenoid it would hamper performance as this hole is fairly small. If one were to try it without any special modifications, the blowgun would be connected to the barrel, and if the fitting didn't seal the whole solenoid port, the diaphram would leak as the thread would not be sealing the rectangular hole coming from the 'back' of the diaphram.
I suppose one could use a small 1/8" NPT plug, plugging off the hole to the barrel, and find a matching thread as the diaphram. Although if your looking for a sleeker way to hook into the sprinkler, without a lot of trouble Id suggest just street elbowing out of the top of the sprinkler with a length of tubing to your blowgun, or other means to pilot the diaphram.

Although starting a new topic for every one liner question you have isn't going to get you much sympathy for problems, and questions you may have. I've done it that way, but I widen the hole a bit before calling it done though. I've had to glue fittings in the solenoid port the last few times. I think it opens just a bit slower than a traditional modded valve, so I wouldn't recommend for performance.
As I've always used the rainbird valves I've had little choice in the matter. I'm not a power junkie, I'm just happy it works.
