This is my latest cannon, it is based off my larger scale design posted here (keep in mind this is only slightly based off of it.
The chamber is constructed of a 4' section of 2" pipe, and the barrel is a coaxial 3/4" Sch. 80 paintball barrel. The Valve is a diaphragm design, which is placed inside of the union joint. The diaphragm is constructed of an inner tube from a bicycle (same place I got the schrader valve.)
I have yet to do any serious testing, but it does work and quite well. It makes a quite satisfying "pop" noise when firing. Ill do some chrony tests at a later time. Since I know that my design works...now its time for my full sized one [}:)]. Tell me what ya think! Any Questions?

So does this gun work anywhere near as well as a piston valve gun? I'm assuming that you're design works a lot better than a modded sprinkler though since all a sprinkler is is a diaphrahm, just a much smaller seat.

Nice design. Really original. I've always loved diaphragm guns- made 4 so far and more to come. But I never thought of using a union before!

Bumping, added a video of it shooting at 100PSI, a couple dmg shots, and some chrony tests.
I would love to know how other peoples paintball cannons compare.

the close-ups and the damage shots were done at night, or in my room so the lighting is a bit strange

I'm thinking about making one of these. Any input?

find a good material for your diaphragm. The tire inner tube I used broke, which shot me with a paintball. I also suggest NOT using the T like I did, rather use a bushing and go to a smaller pipe diameter (maybe 1/2") then do the T to however many adapters you need (vent, fill, guage)
