Anyone know what the hell this is

Is it worth buying for $10($6US)? Do you think I could use it as a valve? The description gives you nothing on www.trademe.co.nz just thats its a solenoid air valve, I might buy it and if it doesn't work I'll take the fittings of it.

Looks like its just a solenoid that the exaust doesn't get let do into the atmosphere, it gos where ever you want.
