I have recently been looking at Marks full auto marble gun here. I recently began construction on my steel (black and gavy) bb gun and was wondering if his full auto system could be adapted for use on a homemade piston valve. The chamber is 1/2x12" with a barrel sealing tee valve with both copper and airsoft bb barrels.
Thoughts and help would be appreciated,

Why not, after all the QEV is a piston valve anyway operating on exactly the same principles.

Not to be a nitpick, but QEVs like the one on mark's gun is a diaphragm valve.
Doesn't change the overall answer to your question though... you sure can use it

I'm pretty sure that I've taken enough of them apart to know that the vast majority of them use a diaphragm.

doesn't matter which it uses, both do the same thing. as long as you are dumping pressure into the barrel it doesn't matter how. you could use a sprinkler valve or ball valve or whatever, and it would work, it would just be less powerful depending on the type of valve. but yes, a piston will definitely work.

Since some QEVs *are* co-axial piston valves and the piston/diaphragm valves operate on the same principle, I think all the evidence points to you in fact being a nitpickNeoSpud wrote:Not to be a nitpick, but QEVs like the one on mark's gun is a diaphragm valve.

Alright, I admit it, you've "outed" me! I am indeed a blasphemous nitpick!
I blame my perfectionist parents; it isn't my fault!

Well it's all those pompous Europeans' fault, with their philosophy and solipsim and gibberish nonsense!
Plus, passing the buck is a lot more fun.
