Hi,
I'm making a pneumatic cannon out of mostly brass fittings that I have bought from bunnings. Its working out quite well but the problem is that they don't sell 1/2" to 1/4" adapters/reducers and I was wondering if they even exist? I've looked on ebay and other hardware shops aswell.
The reason I need the adapter is for the trigger to connect to the 1/2 T fitting (My QEV is like this )
I also have my chamber which is a 1kg fire extinguisher hooked up by pressure hose to the QEV. Is that safe? I've only tested it to 160psi.
I couldn't find 1/2 to 1/4 reducers anywhere. Just use 1/2 to 3/8 and 3/8 to 1/4 bushings. You could also order the part online but either way works. As to the fire extinguisher, what type? Is it CO2, Water(unlikely), foam, or powder? If CO2 then it's good beyond 800psi, maybe even 1000psi. Also, blowguns can hold up to 400psi but I would suggest paying a little more money for a quality blow gun.

Thanks alot guys for the help
The fire extinguisher is the powder type and the hose connecting it is braided steel hose with a 20bar rating. So I should be all good with 260psi, I will buy the 1/2" to 1/4" Reducer JSR linked
