Hey guys,
Below is a picture of my 3way. The blue path shows airflow as is and the red path shows airflow when the button is depressed. The QEV is connected to R.

From what I've read and seen in other builds, the air should pass through from A > P as is, then P > R when the button is depressed.

I have read the sticky on 3ways but i just cant seem to make sense of my valve.

It works at the moment but I have to return the valve to its natural state (blue path) after depressing the button in order to trigger the QEV.

Every other 3way/QEV setup I've seen fires when the button is depressed.

If anyone is able to explain why mine is different I would really appreciate it

Cheers!

My first advice about 3 ways is be careful.

If your flow diagram is correct, A should be connected to the pilot area, R to your air supply and P left open to the atmosphere, I see this is not the case.

Also, remove that filter on P, it limits your pilot flow and reduces performance.

It's simple, there are three ports.

One is always open, lets call this 1)

Port 2) is open when the valve is at rest, and closed when the trigger is pulled.

Port 3) is closed when the valve is at rest, and open when the trigger is pulled.

Identify which is which, then connect 1) to the pilot area of your QEV, connect 2) to your air supply/main tank and leave 3) disconnected and open to the atmosphere.

Legend! Thanks jackssmirkingrevenge!!

Your first post sorted the firing side of things i think. I'll have to double check that later but I feel like such a gronk now haha. I think i just had the A and R around the wrong way! I'm still not sure about the position of the ports though but I think that its problem solved!
