Hello folks, first timer here. I am currently building or trying to build a series of cannons to be used for confetti in a dance recital for my wife. I have done a few of the manual activated cannons over the years but these have to remotely triggered do to timing. They (4) all need to fire at the same time. I currently have 1 built to test with, its 2 inch pvc, 32" long in the shape of a U with a tee fitting in the middle which reduces to 1inch threaded into an orbit 1inch valve, out put is 2inch pvc 24" long. The problem I am having is the dreaded horn noise. I have read for hours on the mods to the valves but i have no choice but to utilize electric. With that said, is there an electric valve i can get that will eliminate the honkin horn noise? I see plenty of them on you tube and the net that seem to be fine so I'm sure that they exist, I just can't get the proper models to use. Thanks in advance for the help.

What you could do is use the solenoid as a pilot for a Quick Exhaust Valve.
Could you post a photo or diagram of your current setup?

So if I'm understanding you correctly, forgive my newbie to qev lack of knowledge, i would hook the inlet side of the qev to the reseviori have built, connect the exhaust port to my barrel, and connect my sprinkler valve to the pilot side of the qev. Thus using the qev as the main valve now, and the electric solenoid to vent the qev opening it to blow my confetti.

Precisely. Staying with materials you're familiar with, you could also do it with two sprinkler valves. Basically you need to modify your main sprinkler valve to remove the solenoid and replace it with a threaded fitting. The usual modification as per the video below is to install a blowgun valve as a pilot:

Through a series of thread adapters, you could connect another sprinkler valve as a pilot. This gives you the benefit of electric actuation while still giving you a good enough pilot to prevent "honking" from the main valve.
