pistons
i just now started looking into pistons and have a pretty good idea on how they work, but i do have one question does it matter how long it is? or as long as it covers the barrel and fits the pipe tight does it matter on the length of it?

Actually bluetooth it's not an inch. It's dependant on your barrel size. It has been hypothesized that it needs to move back 1/4 of the diameter of your barrel for full flow, but most people aren't confident in this hypothesis enough so they let it travel half of the diameter or the radius of the barrel. So if you had a 2" barrel then you would theoretically let it move back 1/2" or to be safe 1".

and a few more dots, spell too correctly, put a comma after thanks, spell okay correctly, capitalize things and whatnot, use fancy language like "The message that was created of my own devious designs is inadequate in legnth and minimizes the amount of electronic based potato cash for futile online purposes." That's how it's done.

Yeah, but it's so much better spelt okay 'cause I say so.

DO NOT make you piston too long, if you do it’ll be heavy and if it’s heavy it will open slowly. The reason you don’t want the piston to move to far is because as the piston moves it’s also increasing chamber size, which decreases pressure which in turn decreases performance.

It’s just logic, here I’ll explain it to you: if you a have a chamber of X size and pressurized it to X PSI and then you increased the chamber size the pressure goes down. With the piston in the “sealed” position the chamber is X size, then when you open the valve the piston moves to the “open” position and the chamber has increased in size. The farther back the piston moves the bigger the chamber will become. In front of the piston is the chamber; behind it is the pilot chamber, the piston in effect is an end cap, sometimes it literally is an end cap but that’s not the point, sealing off the pressure chamber from the barrel. When the piston moves back it increases the chamber volume just as though you’d added the distance that the piston moves to the chamber length. Because you have increased the chamber volume with out adding more pressure the pressure in the chamber decreases. Do you understand? I have a tendency to lose people, if I lost you tell me and I’ll try to explain it better. I’m not trying to offend you, just explain something to you, if I have sorry, I have a tendency to do that too....
