You can't post homedepot links. It will always revert to the index page.

I hate websites like that.

Tell us what to search for in the search box

Yank out the solenoid and stuff a threaded fitting in there then.

No. You make sure you use the right size threaded fitting.

Heres a guide from spudtech:

I havn't had a chance to work on any of my projects for a while, between school and crew. I wanted to be able to mod sprinkler valve without epoxy, because its a bitch to work with. i used two different sized screws wrapped in tefflon tape to seal the holes that would usually be plugged with epoxy. Like i said before, i plan to widen the hole leading from the pilot to the solenoid port. im either going to screw in a 1/2 inch street elbow, or use copper compression fittings

It also looks alot cleaner.

I have found that simply adding a blowgun there doesn't work.
You have to plug the center hole with something. There is two ports in where you screw in your solenoid, the other is often overlooked.

Heres what a poster on that thread says

"You could do that, but you still would have to cover the hole in the middle of the solenoid port or else the vale will stay open. Basically all this is doing is relocating the position of the hole for the blowgun. Of course, this design is a lot stronger than drilling into the top of the valve"

Maybe a tiny scrwew with a bot of teflon on it.

If i can, im just going to mod it like the modding thred says so, I wish there were some way to find if it has a guide rod before you buy it...

You can modify a lawn genie, you just need a high enough flow blowgun. OR, just cover HALF the guide rod hole with epoxy. Leave a tiny opening for equalization. My first valve was a 3/4" lawn genie.
