ok guys this is my first all metal gun...i am very proud of it...except my soldering... but anyway this is going to be run at 200-250 psi....but i test fired it today about 5 mins ago just at 50 psi and some air is going out the barrel but alot is going right back through the blowgun....i was wondering if i had me qev the wrong way or jsut a blowgun u cant use...tell me if anyone has used this type of blowgun and if u cant use it in pneumatics...or is it my qev...well my blowgun is called amflo and i think its generic...its just temporary but why isnt my gun working....ughh
EDIT: ok guys here is my gun with new paint, blowgun, scope, 1 foot off the barrel, and quick disconnect!!!

If you forced that FE on to a fitting I wouldnt trust it at 200psi. And for the valve it wont explode, the seal will just fail after awhile and screw it up and probably would never seal properly again. Other then that nice looking gun.

the brand of blowgun is fine cuz ive seen it on plenty of guns. maybe you jsut got the defective one of the bunch.

it almost impossible to have a defective blowgun. i have no idea why the qev isn working, but does it say which ports are which? if so, are you sure that its connected to the correct ports.
oh and thanks for giving me credit for helping design the gun, and finding the QEV.......................................(get the point?)

The design is exactly the same as jave101's newest piston valve gun, he would get the credit.

i helped design it to his needs, with the qev, pilot layout. his original design was Jave's exaclty.

yea sorry A-98 i was in a hurry to post this because i was going to my dads and he lives in another town so i just threw together a post..i was gonna edit it to when i got my gun done completely and i used javes gun for a guideline but not as an exact...and A-98 helped me through all of it...without him i would not have this gun........btw thanks a-98...pretty much all of the credit goes to a-98 because my gun would have a crappy a$$ valve on it or something that wouldnt work and id have like everything the wrong way...i bought a new blowgun and am gonna try it soon....ill post the results

ahhhh!!!!!!!!it still leaks out the blowgun!!!alot!!!! ok here is what my valve set up is....ok there is words on it....one is IN, one is CYL, and one is EXH. i hooked up EXH to the barrel side....CYL to the FE side(chamber) and IN to where the shrader valve is....what is wrong ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try EXH for the port(blowgun) and IN for the Chamber and CYL for the Barrel...I havn't used a QEV before but thats how I think it would go if what your doing doesnt work....though your way makes more sence to me but just keep testing out different combinations till you get it.

i know that cyl has to go the the FE but maybe in and exh are mixed up.... i will wait 10 mins to see if anyone else posts before i screw this up but if not ill try that crowley

Hmm well I don't see why the Barrel would be IN...exhaust suites it more, though exhaust does suite fill/port station as well, But so does IN.
Hmm I wouldnt personally use a schrader as when you disconnect them they let out a tiny bit of air which is enough to port a QEV.

idk whats wrong but since no one else posted ill try it now...

ya, i had forgotten to mention tht spudthug, it would be a wise idea to put a 1/4 ball valve between the schrader and gun. i havent heard specific examples of that happening, but it could.
and i wasnt angry, i was just kidding about the credit thing. i didnt do too much, just altered the design.
and its looking good, i would pollish the barrel, and put a laquer(sp?) on it. and i would paint the galvanised fittings matte/shiny black. leave the FE as is.
