Does anyone know why a piston valve like the supah valve can only operate at around 120 psi?

Because if you take it much higher, it will have a greater chance of exploding. Joel does not want this to happen, and thus he only recommends people using the Supah Valve up to 100 PSI (thats what it says on the papers; the website argues otherwise...)

What if you made the entire assembly out of metal?

Then you would have made your own valve, and you wouldn't technically have a supah valve.

Then your pressure rating would depend upon your lowest rated piece of metal. And you could seriously jack up the pressure and blow things apart
