Plastic is for newbies and metal is for pro's. PVC is a selection of ready made parts that will work for now, fabricating something out of steel is a investment that will last much longer than something a first-timer can get right. Thanks for the newbie flaming BTW.

Newbie flaming? I was just poking around. I myself still make PVC guns, so don't see plastic as "for newbies". In fact, your guns I linked to are very nice.
No offense intended.

All of my PVC cannons have failed. My ABS cannon and all my steel cannons have survived, even though they use some plastic components such as barrels, pistons, etc.
That comment about PVC versus metal is unjustified and indefensible. For many applications, PVC works just fine, because durability and high pressure are not required, or because cost is an issue.
My first spudgun was made out of steel, and it didn't last very long. I have also never fabricated something out of metal for the construction of a spudgun.
Anyway, about the subject of this thread: Very nice build, and a well-done paint job. I definitely approve, save for my reservations about how well those questionable parts will hold up.
