Hay guys, lets throw together a contest for the end of the year!

Just for fun. :D

We can use the rules from the previous contest. Any one up for it?

I have got some awesome stuff in mind that hasn't really been seen before

Most of the stuff relating to the last contest was deleted.

Basically, the rules were:

-One cannon entered per person
-Cannon must be entered under one of five catagories (combustion pneumatic, hybrid, bbmg/paintball, mini)
-Cannon must be in working order
-Must have at least 50 posts to enter/vote

I have some pretty good plans, but I don't think I could guarantee getting them built before year end.
I'm interested anyway, but it would help to know the closing date.

I'm not sure 50 posts is a lot, I've worked up nearly 100 in a week without any real "dud" posts among them.

I would enter, but I have yet to bulid my first cannon.
Im trying a simple spring loaded ball valve, and might upgrade it to a piston.

Why not have a seperate contest for each.
Since a mini will not stand any chance of winning against a good hybrid.
Unless it's like jack's pen gun.

I am sure one of the mods or PCguy has the rules from the previous contest, I couldn't find them either. How about we just build really awesome cannons and revile (sp?) them on the 1st of January 2008. Then have a general vote to see who's cannon/bbmg/mini is the most impressive. No sub-categories or anything.

On the 1st people can post their cannons and a link to their thread in a control thread/sticky for convenience.

I think this will stimulate you guys to think out of the box

Sounds interesting. I may well have to ask for pneumatic components for Christmas then.

BTW, "reveal" - revile is to "assail with abusive language".

any chance of a pellet/bb catagory, it seems unfair to place 8mm snipers against 4inch ported piston valves....

These contests are about ingenuity, not size/power. (or at the very least, doing a good job on construction)
Remember killjoy's FEAR in the last contest? I ended up getting more votes even though the hybrid I entered was about 200 times smaller than FEAR.
(Not bragging, killjoy, just using it as an example:)

Not to mention my pen gun that's the smallest pneumatic coaxial on this forum but still managed to rank second :D

Well, I was a little too lazy to look it up :P

Sounds like we have a plan guys, I will edit a poll into the first post, so the people that don't feel like talking have their say.

The point of this will be to see if we can get you guys to invent new fresh ideas, I think old remade ideas will no get very far in this contest.

I vote Jack can only enter if he has a handicap :P

Personally I'm not too keen on making the effort "just for fun" - PCGUY, how about a proper one?

Well, if we can get it organized than yes.
