How does it work exactly? Does the solenoid push the bolt back and forth by alternating flows?

So you are using a solenoid valve to "pilot" a shutoff valve? Good idea, hope it will work

The problem I see is this: if the air goes in too fast it might slam that piston up against the front pretty hard and over time could deform the front. Maybe add an o-ring or rubber washer as a damper.

I see no reason why this valve shouldn't work. Are you going to extend the point of the piston to act as a BB injector? That would prevent double feeding.

Interesting... though personally, if I'm using a solenoid valve anyway, I would go for something simpler. Do you intend this for low power low pressure airsoft or something a bit more hardcore?

I planned this airsoft in my mind but I can go higher.
Mayby 800psi and 6mm steel bbs if I can found solenoid valve for that pressure.
Do anyone know where I can get 6mm steel bbs for cheap?

If you're worried about the cost of BBs, I'm guessing you haven't checked the prices for a solenoid valve that can take 800 psi...

Yes I know that those solenoids are really expensive.
Can you recomend some other ammo?
BTW: I could use 4.5 bbs but barrel is difficult to find/make.
