simple questions guys, in a coaxial that uses a piston to seal do i need to put o rings on the outer edges of the piston (you know that part that comes in contact with the camber)? and how big should i make the equalization hole?

No you dont HAVE to use O-rings but they would help. If you dont use o-rings then you dont need an equalization hole.

Wheres spell check?

Yeah the prof answered it but O-rings do increase performance,im not sure how much but Im not sure if its worth it to make the o-ring grooves if you dont have a lathe

well i have a lathe but its only a wood lathe, any simple way to make perfect groves with a wood lathe

on the spell check there isn't actually a button but when a word is spelled wrong its underlined (at least on my computer) and i can right click on that word to correct its spelling

Spudwiki, type o-rings into the search or go to piston valves and click on o-rings. It gives a whole overview on how to do 'em.

O-rings are an exelent addition to any piston cannon. For some reason I dont have spell check.

The forums don't have a spell check, it's called you have Fire Fox V2.

Many use the small gap from not having a o-ring seal, as the equalization point. The same reason why you don't need a lathe for a barrel sealing valve.

O-rings will make a big difference in performance so they are recomended. If you wood lathe has a self centering chuck then it will work (thank gort for that info).
