no not a sprinkler valve but a direct acting solenoid that is normally open that is if your building a barrel sealer.. I hope

many spudders chose to remove the solenoids for a reason
and thats because they suck
so pneumatically pistons are way better and you'll need a crap load of power to actuate such a larger solinod

Well I meant to use a sprinkler valve, modded or not, as a main valve. They usually can be incorperated into the flow of the gun and are nice if you can make them fit the outline of the gun.

That looks like it will most likely work, however I am still a bit skeptical of the electromagnets ability to hold the valve shut. I have never really used them before so my opinion on the topic is kinda iffy.
