Can someone make me up a diagram of how exactly a coaxial pneumatic launcher functions. I have a vague idea of how it works but I am not quite sure of it. I've already checked the spud wiki section; there were no pictures which i needed, because I am a visual learner.

Go to the SpudTech Forum Archive, scroll down and click on Pneumatic Launchers, and there should be a Sticky related to Piston Valves.
