well... ive heard you arent supposed to use cellular core because it often blows up but since its got sch40 on it it seems like you could use it. i dont think i would take that risk though. good luck!

SCH 40 does not mean anything; it is only an indication of wall thickness.
I could have SCH 40 peanut butter pipe... and yet it wouldn't be safe for any type of spudgun
Cellular Core= bad for all spudgun uses (in my book; some may disagree). Go the safe way and find some better pipe.

well sch40 usually means its pressure rated and i have never seen that on cellular core pvc pipe. so i was confused. i wasnt trying to give him bad advice i just gave him my opinion and what i knew.

forget about it - cell core
PVC is CHEAP
Every one will hard time the crap outta ya, ya dont want the grief.
ya start building ya add this and that pretty soon ya have a nice gun BUT it's made from cell core
Do it right the first time!!!
I dont profess to know what the numbers mean, some one might tell me I'm wrong. Cell core is lite, regular PVC will feel noticable heavier.
I was so excited when I found this site I built a gun in a day.
Did not research. My pipe was found on a job site. It was cell core , I later found out. I shot it a bunch of times but was afraid to build advances on it.

they all do. Sorry to drive my point home with a hammer, it's just that I made that mistake my self.

Are there any building sites in your area?
A 2' piece of 4" PVC is nothing to a plumber. You could ask for scraps or look in the dumpster. Maybe sweep up and clean in trade for some parts
Spud guns have been around for a long time, all plumbers have heard of them. They make 'em too. They get a laugh when ya tell'em what ya building. Dont keep it a secret keep 'em laughing mabe get parts for nothing.
