I'm building barrel-sealing piston valve, and I have two questions...
1) Is there any size endcap that will fit into a 1"-1.5" tee?
2) What's the best way to grind down the PVC step inside the tee?
Building a piston valve, need help.

why would u grind out the tee? all u do is grind out teh bushing...
as for ur piston try different couplers and then when u find a coupler that fits find an endcap that fits inside the coupler.. that should make a good piston

You grind down the barrel so you piston has less space to move.

Use a lathe if you could but most people don't have one lying around.Dremel is your next bets friend but go easy on it,as you can fuk a good Tee quickly with rough play with a Dremel.
Ohh and a little time with some fine sand paper for the finer work.
And I believe he is making a piston valve housed in a Tee.

2) What's the best way to grind down the PVC step inside the tee?

Off Topic -- Is your Avatar a Crack The Sky album cover? And if so, whats it called?
About your piston, i've read around here about useing Plexi-glass rod??? Seems suitable for what your doing, being that it's 1"-1 1/2" diameter.

No, my avatar is a CKY album.
the reason I asked for endcaps is because I really don't want to have to order or custom make anything

If your really set on using normal standard stuff, id say to make your valve in a 2" tee. I just made a coaxial piston in 2" pipe with a 1.25" endcap piston and it works very well. i plan to make a tee version soon. 1.25" endcaps are avaliable at lowes, fit very very well into 2" pipe, and i just bolted a rubber washer on the endcap and it and got a perfect seal.
